Testimonials:

To all Actors,

I teach acting at my school, and studied with Michele for more than a year.  The only reason I stopped was because of my traveling schedule.
"Meisner felt that the connection between actors was vital to the life of a scene, and that when that bond was broken, the acting lost its special quality and power.  So in teaching he [Meisner] focused in on one of the most ignored elements of Stanislavski's system: "Communion" - The Great Acting Teachers and Their Methods, by Richard Brestoff.
If anyone can teach the true Meisner technique in it's most original form, it is Michele Condrey.  Although others who teach it, I'm sure, are quite capable, if you want to learn it from a master craftsman you will find it in Michele Condrey. I would still take classes and learn from Michele Condrey.

Dennis O.

"I love Michele and treasure her as a teacher and as a friend. I studied with her for two years when I lived in Dallas. Michele invests her time and energy in fully assessing each actors' strengths and weakness. Consequently, Michele tailors her critiques according to what she knows of the actor's work as well as the actor's unique personality. I remember one day in class, we were discussing how to approach emotionally somber, teary scenes. After much discussion, I remember her encouraging us to find the place in ourselves "where sadness dwells", and therein lay all the emotional resources we would need. Michele helped me to discover the place inside me where sadness and other wonderfully human emotions dwell, and I am forever grateful." - Johnny Sneed(Johnny guest starred in the series "The Mentalist", "NCIS:Los Angeles", "Terriers" &"Justified" and is a principal actor in the tv network pilot "How to Be a Better American".  He was a series regular in the new Fox sitcom "Unhitched" debuting in early 2008. Supporting role in the Ben Stiller film "The Heartbreak Kid". Guest star on a full season of "The Guardian" and a series regular on "American Dreams". He has guest starred on "E.R.", "Presidio Med", "Miss Match", "Judging Amy", Charmed and much more!)

I've studied in Dallas and in L.A., but Michele Condrey is just as great or even better than most of the top coaches in L.A.!  Her mind is incredible.  She sees things you can't even imagine.  It is this incredible insight that moves you to become the best you can be.  Michele watches you, studies you...encourages you to simplilfy your ability, be available and believable.  She has guided me to be a more confident and professional actor.  I feel I can conquer the world by just studying with her.  She is a one-of-a-kind and not for the faint of heart.  So, if you are serious about this thing called "acting", buckle up and get ready for the ride!  Trust me, in the end you'll agree. - Benjamin Dane

I have known Michele Condrey for over 5 years, and have been a student in her class for a majority of that time. Her keen insight and forthrightness make her a highly sought after teacher from which any actor could benefit. The best word I could use to describe her is "intuitive". She is a seeker of truth in the world of drama. She pushes you gently to discover your potential and praises you for your progress. She gives you practical solutions to seemingly insurmountable obstacles; however, when necessary, she's not afraid to kick your butt (but only in the best sense of butt kicking). I can't say enough good stuff about this cool chic - Todd Terry

There are "acting coaches" and then there are Acting Coaches.  Michele does not direct, but lets the actor organically find the sould and being of the character.  She will lead you to dark places and happy places while holding your hand and sometimes slapping your hand.  I would not be the actor I am today had it not been for Michele Condrey.  Anyone interested in being a working professional film actor should be in her class.  - Andrea Cohen

Michele Condrey has the innate ability to see the reality of who each of us truly is, and the uncanny knack of guiding us to develop our unique selves and individual talents as we pursue our careers. She is a constant inspiration to me as a coach and as a human being; she encourages me to trust and react as my own heart and soul dictate. - Linda Comess

Michele has the unique ability to show us how to access the best, most wonderful qualities of our emotions and experiences, as well as the darkest, scariest recesses of our psyches, and apply them to a script so that it not only becomes more interesting, but more real & true. She has a great deal of respect for her actors, and provides a learning environment in which we can feel safe to explore that vulnerability & gain courage from it. - Scarlett McAlister

I studied film acting with Michele shortly after she opened her doors for business back in 1991 and continued with her for 7 years straight.  I can honestly saw that Michele is the best film acting coach in Dallas.  I still use the Meisner Method and am so grateful I landed in her class.  I recently worked on a movie and as I was preparing for each of the six scenes, I pulled out this worn, yellow piece of paper from my wallet titled "Wallet Cheat Sheet" that Michele gave us years ago.  It's a summary of the emotional homework every serious actor must do in preparing for a role.  I did my homework and my first day on set we shot my heaviest emotional scene.  The 1st AD said "Now that's a professional.  3 takes and "Check the gate!  You blew it out of the water."  I owe my success in great part fo Michele, who teaches acting the way it should be taught.  Thank you so much, Michele!   - Leticia Magana

Michele Condrey has been, and continues to be, the pivotal point in my acting career. She was my acting coach for 9 years, and my acting income continues to increase. I only hope she continues to coach for another fifty years! - Kirk Griffith

Sanford Meisner was looking for the truth in the actor & the moment, and nothing short of that would he accept. Michele has the gift of being able to see each persons' uniqueness. There are no cookie-cutter actors coming out of her classes. She's committed. She's tough... and Meisner would be proud. To study with Michele is to stay focused on the only thing that truly matters - truth, and it is a privilege. - Terri Zee

In our business you never stand still.  Either you're moving forward, or things move past you.  Your progress is not only rooted in the hard work you do on your own, but also in the skill of someone watching from the outside as you stretch, bend, and sometimes fall flat on your face.  Someone of competence and experience who knows our struggles.  In short, a good coach.  After more than ten yeas as a stage actor, I asked myself, "How hard can it be to switch to film?".  Yeah, right!  Michele and I bear the scars of my transition.   Good teachers encourage their students to question, and Michele is always willing to talk.  She listens, and although she's been at this for years, she doesn't shy away from looking at new options which might evolve into better approaches.  There are no topics which are off limits.  She's honest with her critiques, and quick with her suggestions.  That's important to me.  I'm glad our paths have crossed - Bill Flynn

I have studied with Michele Condrey since May 2007.  She has the unique ability to look into a person's behavior and know exactly what is going on with them and is able to communicate what she senses so clearly.  It is this talent that enables Michele to bring out the best, and the most real performance from the actor.  I am constantly complimented in auditions on how good of an actor I am.  This is a huge credit to Michele's ability to teach.  She demands a lot out of her actors because that is the only way we will grow.   There's a saying "you get what you pay for", but that doesn't apply with Michele.  You get infinitely more than what you pay for.  Easily one would pay 2 to 3 times more with any other acting coaches in the DFW area, but none of the other coaches hold a candle to Michele. I wholeheartedly recomend anyone to study with her!  - Craig Simons

I have been a professional performing artist for over thirty years, and a performing art educator for twenty-five years.  That being said, I understand intimately what is required to give confidence to a performer as a coach.  Michele Condrey is that coach.  She possesses the unique combination of heart and fortitude required of a great film coach.  Art is emotion and the learning enviroonment of art is emotional.  Michele provides a safe place to grow, however, she insists that you grow.  She is aware of an actor's need and desire to be challenged and guided.  She also continually nurtures her actors.  I give Michele full credit for the solid technique and confidence I now have in my acting. - Michelle Sherrill

I have taken classes at "The Groundlings" in L.A., The Actors Studio-Canada, Texas Wesleyan University and KD Studios, and by far I have learned the most with Michele Condrey at R.E.A.C.T. She gives 150% to her students, and works intimately with each one. I have developed invaluable skills that enable me to work as a professional actress because I have been lucky enough to work with her. I would recommend to any actor who is serious about their craft to study with Michele. - Robin Simmons

"As an actress both in California and Texas I am here to say:  There is no better film / acting coach anywhere than Michele Condrey.  Michele excels in sharpening your camera skills but mainly, and most importantly, shows the actor a mirror into their souls.  Michele is the best!  - Yo Younger

If you seriously want to become a better film actor, there is no better place to be than in Michele's class. Tons of experience, amazing insights, honest & unvarnished critiques, extremely talented actors in a very supportive atmosphere. Expert butt-kicking on an as-needed basis - Tom Marcantel

I'm a writer, so the only way I can truly express my thoughts about Michele
is relating them to a story. When I was a boy, my family inherited a dog from my uncle. It was a German Shepherd named Pancho Villa. Now, my uncle was a policeman who had been killed in the line of duty. Pancho was his
police dog. He was an incredible animal. If something was "wrong" with a situation, no matter how trivial, this dog would not stop until he discovered what it was. You could hide it. You could fight him over it. You could scold him, or lie
about it, but Pancho would not quit until he was satisfied that he could do
nothing more. He was smart, and protective. Leading the children in our family around obstacles or danger. He would constantly be alert to what we were doing, and would never hesitate to growl a warning on our behalf, or in
our face, depending on the situation. He was a damn good dog. Pancho has been gone for a long time, but when I watch Michele work, I'm
reminded of him. She is instinctual, smart, and intuitive. Her insight into
your untapped talent is keen and seldom is she vague with her instruction. It is pointed, direct and detailed, no matter how much you try to hide it, fight her about it, or lie about it. She is constantly alert to your work,
and the seriousness of it, and she is a master at gently leading you around your obstacles in an effort to help you find your hidden talents. And, perhaps most importantly, she will not hesitate to kick your ass when she knows that she is right. Michele is a damn good acting coach...Jim Clayton

I had never taken acting classes before and didn't know where to start.  I was on the set of Walker Texas Ranger as an extra and was told by Dan Lauria (father on Wonder Years) that I should take Michele's class.  Apparently Dan at the time ran a theater in L.A., and some of Michele's students had "Wondered" into some of his productions and he was highly impressed.  It has truly been a blessing to me and my career!  - SAM AUSTIN 1996 to present
