"I recently had the opportunity to teach several scene study and audition workshops in Dallas. There were many students who have been studying with Michele Condrey and Assistant Coach Nancy Chartier of The Michele Condrey Studio and I was simply blown away by their talent. Their training was obvious and their love, devotion and respect for these amazing teachers was intense. I highly recommend The Michele Condrey Studio to anybody who has the opportunity to study with these amazing and gifted acting coaches." - Del Shores - Los Angeles *Award winning writer/director/producer -- "Sordid Lives" (the play, movie and TV series), "Queer as Folk", Dharma & Greg, Southern Baptist Sissies, critically acclaimed "Yellow" and many more!

MICHELE CONDREY, founder & owner of The Condrey Studio, has over 30 years experience in the entertainment industry. Thirteen years in Los Angeles (in network television production as a talent coordinator), and over 14 years in the Dallas market as a broadcast talent agent, and now as a film acting coach.
In Los Angeles Michele trained extensively with top film acting coach (and former Sanford Meisner associate coach) Charles Conrad for many years in the Meisner Method of acting. Some of Mr. Conrad's former students were Michelle Pfeiffer, Tyne Daly, Kim Basinger, Dennis Quaid, Penny Marshall and Mark Harmon. It is not possible for anyone to effectively present the Meisner Method unless they, themselves, have had extensive training in it as an actor. The Michele Condrey Studio was formed in 1991. There are currently over 100 members.
WHY ISN'T THE STUDIO OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC?
We don't want just anybody. Most of our actors come to us through industry referrals. We only want to work with truly talented people who are dedicated and professional enough to sacrifice what it takes to succeed as a film actor. We specialize in film & television acting only. If you want help with commercial or stage acting, you've come to the wrong place! Our love is, always has been, and always will be...film.
FILM ACTING SESSIONS: We offer acting instruction based on the reality-oriented Sanford Meisner Method. Focus is on reaction & trusting your instincts. This is a very personal, emotionalized and challenging approach to your acting. Be prepared to take a journey that requires emotional bravery. This is what sets us apart from other studios. We focus less on the "technical" aspects, and more on the "emotional development" of the actor. Hence giving the actor a much broader range. Acting sessions are ONGOING as it would be in Los Angeles or New York. Skipping from acting studio to acting studio assures poor results. However, we require no contract. We want you to stay with us because you want to, not because you have to. An actor must be willing to experience the good, the bad and the ugly on their journey to being an exemplary actor and they must do it willingly. If you are only looking for a couple of weeks of instruction, we discourage you from contacting us.
We tell it to you "like it is". You can count on us to always be honest with you. Our goal is to make you the best film actor you can be, not to make tons of money. This is evident by the reasonable fees we charge. We love what we do.
Our members range from beginners to seasoned professionals. Some of our actors have been members for up to 15 years.

| Showcasing & Consulting
We showcase periodically to casting directors, directors, agents and producers, but only if you are ready. Just being a member of the studio does not guarantee you will be showcased. If we don't think you are ready, we won't showcase you. This is for your benefit, and you will ultimately be grateful for this restraint.
Ever felt you needed a "best friend" in the industry from whom you could seek advice? Thinking about moving to New York or L.A., and want to know the best way to go about it? We'll be happy to go over (and help with) your contact sheets, acting resume, and share our knowledge of talent agents and their procedures.
CAN YOU START DIRECTLY WITH MICHELE CONDREY? Yes! But only if there is an opening in one of her groups and you are willing to read for her. Otherwise you would begin with her associate coach, Nancy Chartier (no read required), and move on to Michele when a space opens up. Nancy Chartier is a wonderful coach, and a successful actor herself. Oftentimes actors who have transferred to Michele's group continue to study with Nancy as well.
